The Sliema Wanderers Supporters Club held a successful and well organized BBQ night on Tuesday night for the Sliema wanderers fc players and supporters at the Waterline Restaurant in Marsascala.

The event was very well attended with a fully packed restaurant filled with the faithful and dedicated Sliema supporters who came out in numbers to show their support to the team. It was also a nice surprise that all the players attended the dinner as this was very well received by the people present.

The climax of the night was a very highly anticipated speech by current Acting President Keith Perry. Keith Perry addressed the crowd which had gathered and he started to thank everybody for the tremendous and encouraging support he has received since he started his new role as Acting President.

Keith Perry also had words of praise for the Hon Robert Arrigo for his daily support. ‘I wish to thank most heartedly Hon Robert Arrigo, for his guidance and support especially in the last 2 weeks. Robert is always there when needed and always ready to give a helping hand. I can’t describe the words of gratitude I have for this real gentleman and truely no 1 sliema supporter.’

Keith Perry also had words of praise for former Sliema President Steve Abela, ‘ I also wish to thank Steve Abela, as the time and dedication he has and continues to show towards this club is truly outstanding
