Sliema W. Youths registerd a good victory on Tuesday night when they defeated leaders Mosta by 3-0 in a game valid for the Youth League Section B played at the Centenary Stadium, Ta' Qali.

The game started well for the Boys when in the 1st minute a one touch action involving three players finished with Ryan Dalli scoring with a fine shot in the corner of the post, indeed a dream start !

Mosta tried to react and after some corners without succession our boys controlled the situation and defended well the advantage, defenders David Spiteri, Zac Micallef, Daniel Axiaq and Dillon Grech controlled well Mosta strikers.

It was now Sliema turn to try and increase the score and after some few actions in the 37th minute Glen Chircop fired home with a fine shot after beating two Mosta defenders with a solo action.

The 1st half saw Sliema winning 2-0.In the second half Mosta tried to get out from the back but found it hard to penetrate thanks to our team work led by skipper Andrew Caligari and Dejan Vukovic and a good tactic by coach Steve Vella.

Sliema operated with counter attacks and in one of these in the 75 th minute Ryan Bugeja was brought douwn in the box and the referee ponted the spotkick, from the 11 metre Gary Tanti made no mistake and increased the score to 3-0.

There was time for Sliema keeper Matthew Mulholland to make a fine save and keep a clean sheet when a Mosta player tested him with a shot which he finely saved.

Sliema finished the game on the attack with three consecutive corners and these resulted to be the last actions as the referee blew the final whistle.Indeed a good win and with 4 games remaining we are now only three points behind the leaders.
